The Sweet Adventures of Henry P Twist

Automation and greed have forced master pastry chef – extraordinaire, Henry Peppermint Twist, out of a job at the Brackmeyer Sweets factory and into a dreary retirement home in the countryside. But he soon rediscovers his youth in a land where faeries, myth and magic abound and everything is made of sweets.
With the aid of his human and his faerie comrades, Henry takes on a formidable gingerbread-man army led by his ex-boss and nemesis, Charles B. Brackmeyer jr.; a vindictive and greedy man who will stop at nothing to destroy the successful little sweet shop that threatens to crumble the Brackmeyer family empire.
Santa's Review: This is a fanciful story that takes the reader on a "sweet" journey into the world of elves where Henry uses his candy making skills and knowledge to defeat an ogre that comes to destroy the enchanted forest. This book is one the whole family can enjoy. At the end you can make the included recipes to savor while recounting this amazing tale.

A Christmas Love Story
Nicholas nutcracker and Brittany Ballerina
Author Maureen McCabe's
A Christmas Love Story
This children's Christmas story is an old-fashioned, sweet tale about two engaging Christmas ornaments. Nicholas Nutcracker is a retired toy-soldier from a small village in Germany and Brittany Ballerina is a renowned prima ballerina with "The Christmas Ornament Ballet." They are both in search of their true love. "I will find my true love with 'word-of-mouth marketing!'" exclaims Nicholas determined to find his true love this Christmas. Or, maybe they will meet at the annual "Meet and Mingle of the Christmas Ornaments?" With the accidental help of the family's adorable basset hound, Bellamy, with the oh-so-long ears, Brittany tumbles off the tree. When she is repositioned, it is near Nicholas. She thinks to herself, "What a brave toy soldier with so much character." Then, it happens - they both fall in love at first sight!

Santa's Review: A delightful love story that all ages can enjoy. Nicholas and Brittany find their true love and we get to follow along on the journey. I particularly enjoyed some of the humor (younger children probably won't pickup on this). Creative and fun read for the holidays.

Festival of the Elves: The Magic Around You

Holly Figgyworth tells the story of The Festival of the Elves. It began with her Grandpa Norris Figgyworth spreading magic by leaving notes and trinkets every night in December among the elves at the North Pole. It became known as The Festival of the Elves and Holly and her brother Noel decide humans should get to celebrate this Festival too. She and her brother get permission from the Elder Elf Council to take the tradition to humans, but it will be risky as they will use all their magic getting there. The two elves find a family and begin the adventure of sharing the magic and joy of the Festival with notes and trinkets just like their grandpa had done. They find that Grandpa Figgyworth's belief in his saying " The magic around you is the magic you make." is true. Find out what happens on the elves adventure to spread the tradition of the Festival of the Elves with humans.
